Chiffchaff - Tjiftjaf

This type of song was heard most often, but every now and then the bird would switch to the regular collybita-song. The bird was initially identified as a possible Iberian Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus ibericus), but the typical ibericus-strophe was not heard. Incidentally, only a few weeks later an Iberian Chiffchaff was discovered in Amsterdam! Tjiftjaf met afwijkende zang, twee stofes achter elkaar geplakt. Dit type zang werd het meest gehoord, maar zo nu en dan liet de vogel ook de normale collybita-zang horen. De vogel was aanvankelijk gedetermineerd als mogelijke Iberische Tjiftjaf (Phylloscopus ibericus), maar de kenmerkende ibericus-strofe werd niet gehoord. Grappig genoeg werd slechts een paar weken later een Iberische Tjiftjaf ontdekt in Amsterdam!
