Although unfortunately this is difficult to appreciate from the picture, the upperparts look too pale for graellsii, but the bird would have been very delicately built for a michahellis. 9kj hybride Geelpoot- x Kleine Mantelmeeuw (Larus michahellis x fuscus), geringd als pullus op 08-07-98 in IJmuiden. Hoewel dit helaas lastig te beoordelen is van de foto's zijn de bovendelen te licht voor graellsii, maar de vogel zou zeer fijn gebouwd zijn voor een michahellis.

Op deze foto's is de mantelkleur beter te beoordelen. Let op de zeer late start van de handpenrui, met rond half augustus slechts P1-2 ontbrekend.
