© Ruud Altenburg, 09-04-06. Ransdorp, Waterland. A 3cy bird, present in a group of 1500-2000 Blackheaded Gulls, that also included at least 10 Mediterranean Gulls. This species rapidly is becoming much less scarce in the vicinity of Amsterdam, with several pairs breeding in colonies of Black-headed Gulls. Mediterranean Gull still is a rarity in the city itself though. Een 3kj vogel aanwezig in een groep van 1500-2000 Kokmeeuwen, waarin zich ook tenminste 10 Zwartkopmeeuwen bevonden. Deze soort wordt snel veel minder schaars rond Amsterdam, met verschillende broedparen in Kokmeeuwkolonies. Zwartkopmeeuw is overigens nog steeds een zeldzaamheid in de stad zelf.
