A broad white tip to the tertials is characteristic for 1cy Caspian Gull. Often the white merges more gradually with the brown centre and the tips are less clear cut than in this bird. The majority of the scapulars has already been replaced; only some scattered feathers plus the lowest range of scapulars still are juvenile. 1kj Pontische Meeuw, met 1kj Kleine Mantel in 4. Een individu met nogal opvallend gekartelde binnenste grote dekveren. Een brede witte top op de tertials is karakteristiek voor 1kj Pontische Meeuw. Vaak loopt het wit van de top echter wat meer geleidelijk over in het bruine centrum en zijn de toppen minder scherp afgesneden dan bij deze vogel. Het grootste deel van de schouderveren is al vervangen; slechts enkele geïsoleerde veren en de onderste rij schouderveren zijn nog juveniel.
